I was raised on the golf course. From Gospel Hill in Erie, PA to Chapel Hill in Ashtabula, OH, some of my best memories came with a 9-iron in my hand and the open green in front of me. But somewhere along the way, many women miss the opportunity to see themselves as part of the game.
That’s why I created Chips & Sips—a four-part summer series designed to introduce women to golf in a supportive, fun, and pressure-free environment. What started as a passion project quickly turned into something bigger.
This summer, more than 25 women came together each week to laugh, learn, and try something new. Whether they were figuring out their grip for the first time or conquering the fear of stepping onto the course, the energy was electric. Our sessions were filled with encouragement, sunshine, and more than a few joyful cheers when someone hit that perfect shot.
But this wasn’t just about us. It was about the girls watching, too.
At the end of the series, we presented a donation to the Erie High School Girls Golf Team—a gift that will go toward:
- Greens fees so every player can practice without financial worry
- Professional lessons from local golf pros to build their skills
- Team shirts donated by Erie News Now to create a sense of pride and unity
- And most importantly, a mentorship program—pairing community women with team members for a round of golf and real connection
I had tears in my eyes as I watched the women I coached become the women who give back. That’s the power of pairing passion with purpose.
As the founder of Agency Jen, this wasn’t a campaign. It was personal. It was proof that when you combine marketing strategy with meaningful connection, you create ripple effects that matter.
